Md. Ziaul Islam is a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), City University, Bangladesh. He is currently pursuing a master's degree at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). Prior to this, he obtained his B.Sc. degrees from the Department of EEE, International Islamic University Chittagong. He joined as a Lecturer in the Department of EEE, City University in 2015, and has been serving as the Coordinator of EEE Department for the last 4 years. He is a dynamic individual with unparalleled organizational and leadership skills. He is well versed in his subject of interest, and also excels at management skills and team work. He is well respected by his peers and colleagues, and looked up to by all the students. He can be considered an integral member of the City University family.

Research interests are in the areas of power and energy systems, demand side management, smart grid and renewable energy.
